Quick, raise your hand if you never struggle with violent urges towards one of the following: Your partner/ kid/ pet/co-worker/ neighbor/ friend/teacher/parent/sibling. Hey, look ma! No hands!
Next month (Saturday April 2nd to be exact), Don Baker LMHC, a local therapist whose therapeutic style and calm energy I admire, and I are collaborating to offer a day long intensive course on relationship skill building.
Unlike say, learning algebra you will actually USE what you learn on a daily basis.
In this informative, interactive workshop, participants will build skills in the areas of healthy communication, constructive conflict and maintaining positive connection. Old patterns will be explored, instinctive reactions brought to light and we will look at what is working and what is hurting.
Participants will learn about the latest brain research relative to both positive and negative communication practices.
In this safe, non judgmental environment you will gain skills to be a better friend, partner, lover, and parent.
